Redesigning a GQ Article
I reimagined illustrations for the GQ article “Sperm Count Zero” by Daniel Noah Halpern. The article is about the decrease in male fertility and why it is happening. It was a challenge working around the subject matter without being vulgar or too clinical. I wanted to keep the illustrations fun and quirky to match Halpern’s voice.
I decided to use a circus as a visual metaphor. I wanted to illustrate themes of reaching, balancing and shrinking opportunities.
